- I have a similar problem. I too have purchased the Asus Z170-A motherboard, i5-6600K and 16 gb of 2666mhz of DDR4 memory. My first build, everything was connected inside my rig. I tried to start and no post. The fans spin up, processor fan starts, green LED on mobo, that's it, nothing else.
